 When we first started installing solar, most of our jobs were out east in effluent neighborhoods. The jobs were all very high quality installs on expensive homes. But over the last decade, Long Island has been saturated with nation wide companies installing cookie cutter, low quality systems in almost every neighborhood. Some companies even pushed lease based solar jobs which almost never left the homeowner satisfied. Salesmen want to fill every square inch of your roof space and installers just want to get home before the heat of the day sets in. If you haven’t noticed yet, Long Island has been inundated with low quality work that actually makes homes harder to sell and leaves the homeowner less than impressed when they come home from work at the end of the day. It’s hard to be excited when your brand new system stands out like an eye sore on the block. Finding the right design for your system, and good installers is imperative to getting a high quality solar job.

Since we started in the industry the cost of solar has gone down by over 400%. The investment is one of the best and safest investments in a home that you can make. Ask your neighbors and friends to tell you how well it has worked for them as far as the monetary investments have gone. The fact that solar has gone from one or two homes in a neighborhood that we could see from the roof ten years ago, to upwards of twenty or more that are visible from almost every job we do these days is an obvious marker that solar is worth the investment here in Long Island.
