We started as installers in the solar business back in 2009 because the work was clean, better for the environment and challenging. Since then, its become our passion. We see our work as an art form. Its very rewarding being able to give homeowners solar for all the monetary and environmental reasons, but its even better when you can walk away from a job that compliments the aesthetic value of a home. After about five years of learning the ropes and getting the installation practices dialed in, we moved to design and shade analysis. Having experience in the field helped us to know what type of work looks good. But almost more importantly we learned how the wrong kind of workmanship and thoughtless design processes can turn a home into an eyesore. Now we’re only doing work that stands out for its quality and integrity. Our teams in the field are knowledgeable about the design and installation requirements needed to make sure our customers are happy and get the products they want and deserve.

Theres no sales team at Long Island Solar Specialists and we don't advertise heavily like most of the bigger companies on the island. Most of our work comes through word of mouth or from neighbors and family of previous work. This gives us the benefits of having a smaller overhead, giving you a better price and experience, and still affords us the time and energy to do top quality instals. We aren't interested in curbing the market. Our installs aren't for everyone. If our clients are more interested in filling every nook and cranny of roof space, then we’ll do our best to fill up the back side or unseen parts of the roof. But we aren't interested in jobs that detract from the value of a home, or give solar a bad name due to the unsiteliness of the job.

It won't cost you anything but an extra hours time, and you can feel better for being a bit more knowledgeable before taking the leap.
